Canine vaccination plans

Core Vaccines: Protection against parvovirus, distemper, hepatitis, and leptospirosis (commonly known as the L4 vaccine).

Mandatory Vaccine: Rabies (legally required in Portugal for all dogs starting at 3 to 4 months of age).

Optional (Recommended) Vaccines:

Kennel Cough: Essential for dogs attending daycare, pet hotels, or dog parks.
Leishmaniasis: Crucial in northern Portugal due to the presence of the transmitting insect (phlebotomine sandfly).

Boosters: Generally annual, ensuring immunity remains active throughout your dog's life.

Feline vaccination plans

Trivalent Vaccine (CRP): Protects against feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and feline panleukopenia. It forms the foundation of any feline health plan.

Feline Leukemia Vaccine (FeLV): Highly recommended for cats that go outdoors or live with other felines.

Rabies Vaccine: Although not mandatory for cats that do not travel abroad, it is recommended in specific risk situations.

Boosters: Annual or triennial, depending on your cat's lifestyle (indoor versus outdoor).

I was pleasantly surprised that I could check the consultation cost in advance, and the price was very reasonable. Everyone was very kind, and Dr. Pedro carefully examined exactly what was needed, explained everything clearly, and provided detailed treatment advice along with the prescription. Everyone working there, speaks fluent English which made me feel very comfortable. If I had known about this clinic more earlier, I wouldn’t have wasted so much time and money at other hospitals.
